Employer Insurance Premium Deductions
MERS can deduct insurance premiums from retiree and survivor benefit payments and remit the deductions to employers.
The retiree or survivor must authorize the deduction using the applicable Retiree or Survivor Insurance Premium Deduction Authorization form before deductions are withheld from monthly benefits.
Payments to the employer may be made electronically using the employer's direct deposit information or by check. Electronic deposit is the preferred method.
