Ballots for Trustee Election Mailed July 5 / Ballots for Trustee Election Due July 26

There are two open trustee seats up for election. One must be filled by an elected official and the other by a non-elected official.

Candidates for the elected official seat are:

          Mayor Julius Alsandor of Opelousas

          Mayor Lionel Johnson, Jr. of St. Gabriel

Candidates for the non-elected official seat are:

          Kevin W. Bihm, Louisiana Energy and Power Authority

          Julie Foret, South Central Planning and Development Commission

          Phyllis McGraw, Bossier City

Ballots were mailed to the home address of active members on July 5. Members with email addresses on file were also sent an email about voting.  If you have not received a ballot, please email help+Mersla@yeselections.com or call 866-384-9978.

Ballots contain instructions on how to vote by mail, phone, or online.

Each member will receive a unique election code and voting PIN to provide for secure voting.

The election is administered by a third party election provider, YesElections.
